Project Superintendent
(NO OPENINGS AT THIS
TIME)
The Project Superintendent is the key person on the project
providing supervision of the complete on-site construction process to
insure the project is constructed correctly in accordance with the
project plans and specifications. If you are the type of person who
wants to be “hands on” and directly involved with the day-to-day
activities of a project, then this is the role for you. The Project
Superintendent must be able to effectively manage production schedules,
material, construction activities, and most importantly, people. You
must be a confident speaker able to firmly and yet respectfully,
motivate those under your supervision to produce and work together with
the same goals in mind. You must ensure that all work performed is done
so with the highest degree of safety and quality. M. R. Bracey

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

Protect and promote
the interests of M. R. Bracey Construction Co., Inc. at all times.

Assumes full
responsibility for the accuracy, quality and completion of contract
work.

Read, coordinate and
correlate contract drawings and details.
-
Assist Project
Manager in developing subcontractor scopes of work.

Coordination of
Bracey Construction’s workforce and subcontractor activities on site.
-
Determine the
sequence and manner in which work is carried out.
-
Ensure safety and
quality standards established by the organization are met.

Receive, inventory
and properly store all material delivered to the project.

Administer safety
training and meetings on site.
-
Work with the project
manager to control project schedule and budget.
-
Prepare accurate,
comprehensive daily reports and logs detailing activities, manpower,
equipment, deliveries, schedule updates and any issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
At least five years of
building construction experience required in a supervisory capacity. DSA
experience highly desired. Renovation project experience preferred.
Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and
cost control procedures, general contract, general conditions,
subcontract documents, drawings and specifications. Computer skills
with familiarity working with Microsoft Office and Excel programs.
Working knowledge of Suretrack and Primavera scheduling programs
desirable. Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills with
the ability to handle multiple projects and communicate well both
verbally and in writing a must.
Physical Demands and
Work Environment:
Performance of the
duties will occasionally require physical ability to climb permanent and
temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists,
ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel
objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance,
stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift and/or
move up to 75 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the
employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the
employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places;
fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of
electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually
moderate to very loud.

Project Manager (NO
OPENINGS AT THIS TIME)
The Project Manager works in conjunction with the
superintendent to oversee all aspects of a particular project. The
Project Manager is the administrative (or office) liaison to our
subcontractors and suppliers. Project managers should be versatile and
are usually involved in all phases of a project including estimating,
start-up, scheduling, expediting, inspection, quality control, cost
control and ultimately, the total delivery of the project.
Typical duties include
but are not limited to:

Protect and promote
the interests of M. R. Bracey Construction Co., Inc. at all times.

Coordinate “start-up”
activities that send a project into motion.

Maintain project
schedule by frequent contact with project superintendent and
subcontractors.

Maintain
communication with subcontractors and develop and obtain subcontract
agreements.

Procure materials
needed for the project.

Monitor and maintain
documentation relevant to the project.

Coordinate with the
Owner, A/E, Permitting Agencies and other team members.
